On today’s episode of POSTBURNOUT.COM Interviews…, we chat with Thomas O’Reilly, a longtime musician who is probably best known for his time with the punk duo The Single Cells. Last week, Thomas released “Not That Kind of Funny,” the debut single from his new lo-fi project L. Weary.
In the interview, we discuss how this project came about after a health scare, how it differs from any of Thomas’s other projects, working with Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox on his upcoming debut album, the literary influences that inspire him, the Irish music scene, making the music video for the single, where he got the name from, and much more.
L. Weary’s debut single, “Not That Kind of Funny,” is out now. You can keep up with L. Weary through his Linktree. L. Weary will perform with Slough and Silicon Bog tomorrow at Anseo, Dublin. Tickets are €10, and only available at the door.
