In today’s edition of POSTBURNOUT.COM Interviews…, we talk with Tom Corneill of the English South West alt-country band Young Martyrs. The band formed during the COVID-19 pandemic and released their debut self-titled album in 2020. Then, in 2023, they released its follow-up, Time Is Not on Our Side. Unfortunately, for circumstances beyond the band’s control, the album was taken off all streaming platforms. In June, the band released one of that album’s tracks, “Everyone Else Disappears,” as a single, to show that it will swiftly be available again.
Tom talks to us about the project, how it came after the collapse of his previous band CENTERFOLDS, making a name for Young Martyrs in the middle of a pandemic, the reason why Time Is Not on Our Side was taken off streaming platforms, the future of the band, and their upcoming third record.
Young Martyrs’ latest single, “Everyone Else Disappears,” is on all streaming platforms now. You can keep up with Young Martyrs, sign up for their mailing list, see their social media accounts, and more through their website.
