Martina Moon, the Eponymous Frontperson of the Dublin Alt-Rock Band Martina and the Moons, Discusses the Band’s New Single “Emigrate” and Next Week’s Gaza Crisis Appeal Fundraiser


On today’s exclusive episode of POSTBURNOUT.COM Interviews…, we talk with Martina Moon, the vocalist and guitarist for the Dublin alternative rock band, Martina and the Moons. With inspiration ranging from the classic rock of the 1960s all the way up to the modern day, Martina goes over her story of wanting to become a musician to starting the band.

She discusses her early days of listening to music, songwriting, the COVID-19 lockdowns in Spain, moving from Spain to Ireland, attending BIMM, meeting her bandmates and forming the project, writing in English compared to Spanish, recording a song everyday for a month, the band’s growth, their new single “Emigrate,” the band’s appearance at the Stand Together fundraiser in aid on Gaza and to combat the ongoing Palestinian genocide, the importance of artists using their voices against injustice, and much, much more.
